Card Decks

The concept of a digital "card" would fall short of its promise if it wasn't complimented by the concept of a digital "card deck" - so that's exactly what we've created! 🙂
Card decks offer great flexibility for organising and storing a sub-set of all your cards based on whatever theme or criteria you desire. They can be temporary (create a deck to use one time only during a session or event, and then delete it) or essentially permanent (maybe part of a structured skill development program or curriculum that players/participants work through over years).
To get started creating a deck, click/tap on the "card decks ->" text at the top right of the main menu ("top card"). This will reveal a panel from the right side of the app with a button to create a new card deck (and list all the existing card decks once you've created some)...
Clicking "Create New Deck" will show fields for entering a deck name, avatar, description and whether to make it private (others in the Game Zone will not see it listed)...
After saving the deck it will appear in the Card Deck list... it will not have any cards yet so click the "details" icon on the far right to bring up the option to "add cards". Here you can:
select a specific card to add by clicking on the card title
filter based on card title or description and then "add all" cards that match that filter
add a random selection of cards (and set the desired number of cards - default is 1)
Once you've started adding cards you can also remove a specific card, filter and "remove all" etc - essentially the same process as adding cards.
You can also duplicate a deck and use it as your starting point for a new deck..click the "duplicate" icon as shown in the top right corner of the screenshot above.
Select a deck from the Card Deck list and it will be displayed as the "main deck" (unless there are no cards added to the deck, then you will not be able to select it). The card deck name is now displayed at the top, and the Game Cards app logo will be replaced by an avatar/icon if one has been set for the deck (in the screenshot below, a poster for a youth games night is the avatar for "Demo Deck").
The cards now available for viewing will only be those added to the selected deck. Everything else from this point works the same as for viewing cards.
To select a different card deck, click/tap on the currently selected deck name and the panel on the right will slide in with the Card Decks list. Alternatively, clear the selected deck by clicking/tapping on the 'x' icon next to the deck name.
